The issue is you're looking at it like one independent trade. We started at 1 and traded back to 15 with the knowledge that we'd have to trade back into the top 10 to snag the tackle that we wanted. We were playing with house money, so a 2nd round pick in next year's draft honestly isn't that significant when you consider where we started.

If this was addressed to me I suggested giving one of our 2nd this year instead of 2nd next year. Not that crazy to think they would take a better offer! I also suggested trying to get some late round compensation for offering the better value of a 2nd in 2016 vs a 2nd in 2017.

After this draft, the thing I'm most disappointed is giving up the 2017 2nd round pick.

I don't know man, in some ways I think the titans decided fit was way more important than sheer raw talent.

I'm really thinking the titans made a fatal mistake not taking Laremy Tunsil or even somebody like Leonard Floyd or even Corey Coleman. I don't see Superstar in Conklin.

Not a lot of right tackles are superstars. But if he can start for 6-8 year and be good, he was well worth the pick in my opinion.

He better be a damn superstar right tackle we gave up 2 top 120 picks to draft him in the top ten

Nice rebuttal. I suppose your made up trade scenarios are more plausible.....

What's so made up that a 2016 second rounder had more value than a 2017 second rounder???

And trading a current 2nd rounder for a future 2nd rounder is dumb.

I'd much rather have traded one our 2nd this year, received some return compensation in the form of a latter round pick, and kept an additional top 40 pick next year.

Honestly since you view a pick btw 35-45 as meaningless what do you care if it was this year or next years?

Conklin cost us a pick between 35-45 next year, the third round this year, and an option at a different player at 15. He better be a damn good play cause that was a ****load to give up for 7 spaces. I know that type of logic is tough for the sheep to understand
