As I've learned, it's far too much to ask of you guys to actually watch tape of players. But please... if you want to join the conversation- stop just reading scout sites and biting on it (which is undoubtedly just copied/pasted from some other scouting site and so on and so on)

Are you really sitting here telling me Blount isn't ridiculously athletic and is a bruiser back?

    WATCH.

Cuts. Cuts. Cuts. Not trying to bulldoze. Hurdling people. Spin moves. He has an entire arsenal that no RB his size should have.

Meanwhile... Henry? Cut once. Maybe. Fall down. Repeat.

Blount is much more athletic. Henry will have to work his stiff arm, bulldoze and OL get him to the second level where he's a mammoth

    But he isn't though.

I hate repeating it, but this isn't college. In the NFL you have to work from the inside out, not get to the 2nd level with zero effort then bulldoze a DB. (which he still didn't do as he should have, being his size)

I thought Trent Richardson was an easy bust call. But Trent Richardson had a LOT more upside than Henry does. That's how bad this is.

Yikes. Yea that sounds bad. I hope you're wrong. Didn't Henry get comparisons to Giants RB Brandon Jacobs?

He has, but not sure how warranted they are.

Jacobs is far more a bruiser and uses his size more to punish.

But big backs like that? IMO- they're dead for a reason.

You have a couple in the league, but not many.

Yea I don't expect Henry to last more than 5 years.

With that said, I mean college to NFL is one thing, but doesn't coaching and work ethic/growth come into play at some point. It can't be ALL black and white.

Yeah, I'm not refuting our rushing sucked. I'm not refuting rushing doesn't help a team, it certainly does. However, it is a pass-first league, you made it seem like GB was superior because of rushing. Obviously to an extent they are, but it's not why they made the playoffs. They made the playoffs, because they have a top-10 defense and we have a bottom 10. Passing offense and defense is what runs the game now, and every top team has it, which can't be said about good rushing.

They are both like 6'3 and 250 lbs. That's pretty much where the comparison should end.

I don't see why people think that when you actually watch his tape. He runs more like Chris Johnson than he does a big bruising back.

I've watched a lot of his game tape since we drafted him. He has a lot of carries where he gets stood up at or a small gain the line of scrimmage. Then he rips off a big run.

His balance is also pretty sub par. Might be because of how big he is, but I see him run through a lot of arm/shoulder tackles just to stumble and fall forward.
