Henry had 8 games with over 25 carries. That doesn't just happen "at the end of games". Specifically the 5 games he had more than 30 carries. Even more to the point, Murray will likely be the starter through the first few games so Henry will only get carries towards the end of the game which is when you claim he excelled most.

If he "sucked a bunch then broke the big runs" all the time, how in the hell would he reach 400 carries (or 395). He also still averaged 5.6 YPC. Most of his games (10/15) also topped out with a 31 yd run or shorter as his game long.

What does him chipping then breaking one have to do with his # of carries?

Yeah. He averaged 5.6 behind a line that usually has an RB that averages 6ypc...

Bishop Sankey would averag 6ypc behind that line.

As statistics for every other RB in college show, the higher the carries, the lower the average gets. Henry ranked a modest #74 in YPC last year in the entire NCAA (1-A FBS) 60 of those RB had less than 200 carries, only 2 had 300 or more, Fournette and McCaffrey which had a 6.5 and 6.0 avg respectively. I think there was almost a unanimous agreement on how good Fournette was before the season started. That's how more carries ties into YPC.
I also think your term "usually" is a broad safe term for you to use without proving any statistical backup. For example: in 2015, the 2 Alabama RB behind Henry in carries had a 5.3 and 3.4 YPC, in 2014 Henry again led the team with 5.8 with the next 2 guys posting a 5.0 and 4.2. In 2013 Yeldon led the team in carries and had a 5.8, then Drake had a 7.5 followed by #3 in carries, Henry who posted a 10.9.

So where exactly is your argument coming from?

In that case... cool. Richardson, Ingram, Lacy, etc would end with around the same YPC then.

Point is- if any of those other 'Bama backs had gotten the same carries, they would have also gotten 2k yards.

Go look at the numbers. No denying that. Henry got a TON more carries than those guys.

I guess I needed to hit the rewind to figure out what your actual argument is. Here's what I gather:
    1. You think Henry is overrated.
    2. Peterson is the only tall RB you think is good. Tall is 5'11" or taller.
    3. Height is not relevant to the abilities of a RB
4.Henry is 3-4th rd talent and Tennessee "reached" for him in the 2nd.
    5. No RB outside Peterson, Fournette and Cook are worth a 1st or 2nd rd pick. Maybe Elliot.

It seems you have a general distaste for Henry. You think he only breaks long runs which got him most of his yards (no statistics to back that up), he misses holes, can't break DB tackles and in general got a lot of carries resulting in "only" a 5.6 YPC. From your words this is also behind an O-Line that "usually" gives their backs a 6.0 YPC even though the starting RB hasn't averaged that at Bama since 2012.
So do you not like the pick, not like the pick in the second round or just think that some people are overrating him and you would like him to be considered no more than an average back?
