Yeah...if they go on to have a winning season...or even improve to 7-9, 8-8 he is here for a while....but if we see another lame a$$ year and come finish up in the 5 win or less range the fans will be howling again....for good reason.

 

I think he's a 6 wins coach, so 7-9 is possible this season IMO

If the OL works, we win 8-10 games. Run game improves TOP, Mariota upright can extend drives and LeBeau can take our middlin bunch of D players and shut down a few opposing drives.

don't set the bar too high for professional athletes and coaches that get paid millions

 

Considering we barely won 3...damn right I feel that way. I am a realist. Hopefully we win more, but I still think we need 1 more solid draft to clean things up.

 

People forget we lost 6 games by less than 7 points, many of which we were missing some key pieces on defense for. I don't think this team is nearly as far away as everyone else does. I think the last several games where we had the backups' backups starting in multiple places made us think we're worse off than we actually are, if the OL works and we have a run game and DGB and Wright take steps forward and Mathews works out for us I can see 10 or 11 wins with the added depth on defense.

 

Just what I was thinking, alot of close games that could have easily went the other way. If the OL shows improvement this year we could go 7-9 or 8-8

 

yea but you can say that about 2 of our 3 wins, could have easily gone the other way making us 1-15
