Adam Jones was a piece of human garbage while wearing two tone blue. Nothing more needs be said.

 

To earn a roster spot you need to play in all especial teams packages or be a legit back up at their position.

Something Mariani wasn't able to do he was one of many terrible (to me the worst WR to ever play for us)Titans WRs plus he was terrible at covering punts and kicks.

 

He was actually a very good return specialist, so being able to play on special teams was checked

His time here was cut short because he didn't develope as a WR enough, but considering that our 5th string WRs since he left have sucked, it would have been a non issue carrying him as a designated KR.

In fact he'd probably have helped close 3 close games we lost last year.

 

Chicago re-signed him for their returner.

Mularkey is already turning on the McCluster love this year. From an article in the Tennessean:

“Dexter is another threat. As many guys (as) you have that can do something special and make a big play ... Dexter will have a role. It won’t be hard. It will actually be enjoyable to game plan with some of the guys we’re adding on.”

So according to what Mularkey is saying; McCluster is making the roster. I expected as much, but hoped for better.
