The NFL could be heading to Australia

I am in Australia. If you brought it down under it would sell its tits off.

However, Australians are sport savvy, so doing it on a repeated basis might not work. As they would want the real thing after a short while.

However, as a one off, it would do well down here.

 

There is no "saving" the pro bowl because no one is ever going to care about a bunch of guys just BSing around at the end of the season.

The MLB really has the only decent ASG since the player aren't half assing it to avoid injury and it actually matters.

 

agreed, but it should not matter.

Baseball is a game that can be played 100% with only slight chances of injury. Other games are not this way.

It is odd though that people accept the 'show' that the NBA & NHL put on. Zero D

While the same show by the NFL is not. I agree the NFL pro bowl is unwatchable.

But IMO the NHL/NBA games are as well because of zero D

I know the NBA/NHL games at least resemble a normal game so I get that.

NFl wants to add more games to the season. Their could be a decent compromise by adding one more game to the season via it being the Pro Bowl. Here me out.

-Take out the 4th preseason game and go down to 3.
-Start the season in the last week of august
-Add the pro bowl in the middle of the season to make the season 18 weeks long.

Now I know there are "injury worries" but not everyone is going to play, let alone for the entire game. Why should it matter, well a couple of reasons. We could do 1 to all of these potential ideas.

• The conference that wins the pro bowl get a tie breaker in the draft when two teams have the same record. (I.E. if the Saints and Steelers both had a 2-14 record, and the AFC won the Pro Bowl, the Steelers would draft first)
• Players who attend get a bonus paycheck
• A player can only play 1 quarter of the game
• Conference winning team in the super bowl automatically win all coin tosses, effectively removing the coin toss and going straight to their decision
• All teams of the winning conference get 1 extra 6th round compensatory pick
• Losing Conference teams have games across seas (China, London, Australia)
