I wouldn't give anywhere near a 2nd for him. No way. However, he was part of that great oline that helped Murray pile up yards in 2014. He was a starter in 2013 as well. Collins beat him out; but Collins was a 1st round pick that fell off the map due to bad timing/situation. Still wish we would've picked him in 7th. LOL.

Honestly he if he is an upgrade on the G position and can be had for a 6th or 7th you take him & cut someone else. Not sure who, but if you think he improves the position you make the move IMO. As long as he is worth what you give up. Bell was competing for a G spot, but had OT experience. We need a swing T, but I still think that if we can improve anywhere on this line it has to be considered. This line has held the entire team back for far too long.

What are you guys talking about with a second round pick? That's his tender amount. If we signed him from the FA market we would have had to give Dallas a second round pick. We didn't do that, so we obviously don't value him as a round pick.

We're talking a fourth round pick.

I was thinking Dallas wanted a 2nd rounder for him via trade.

Dallas likely wouldn't trade him for a fourth, which is why I don't think it'll get done. If he leaves in FA they will likely get a 5th/4th in compensatory. Wouldn't make sense to give up depth for free. At the same time we're not going to offer a third for him.

He got beat like a drum every play! His confidence should have been shot!

I just don't see anything there. Yes he got thrown in the fire... But he got ran through, ran over and ran past like he wasn't even there. I don't think that's anyone's fault but his own.

I do hope he can be serviceable at any position...I just don't see any promise from what he's shown so far.

Gets burnt by JJ Watt on 1 play then shuts Watt down the rest of the game.
Would be nice to get him for LG.

I agree that people are sleeping on Poutasi, but I'm a big fan of Quinton Spain as well. I believe that between those two, we should have a serviceable left guard. If it was for a late round pick, I'd consider making the move for Leary. According to Stephen Jones, the asking price will be more. Not worth it at that point.

Not every rookie can step onto a field and dominate from day one. You are extremely underestimating the difference between guard and tackle. A guard is more so in a phone booth. They have a body to either side which limits the space in which they need to cover. At tackle, it's a lot more isolated. Poutasi's feet never showed NFL tackle at all. Speed would always kill him if he had remained at RT. It's the same reason DJ Fluker was better off moving to guard. Fluker wasn't a stud last year, but he also had no guard experience either. Does that mean he doesn't have potential at the position? No, it means give him time.
