if there is no cba agreement

    and there is no salary cap for this upcoming season... why not go out and sign brees and a few other players to huge first year contracts with lower cap numbers for the following seasons? obviously the player would prefer to get the money upfront and the team would be in a much better cap situation down the line... i think this is a perfect opportunity for a rebuilding team to get a few huge peices in line this year and then when it comes to resigning there own free agents in the future they have lots of room...
    any thoughts?

    There will be a salary cap for the upcoming season. It's the following season that's in doubt.

    It appears they are getting close to another deal which means you wont have to pose the question again:brow:
