JMAC said this morning that Sharpe is one of the best route runners he's seen. Lots of praise from our defense.

so basically this kid can trick our 5 idiots in the secondary on a regular basis, terrific

that front-7 better be on point if we're gonna do anything with defense..

I think he is a good value where we got him...I will wait until game play until I give my true thoughts on him.....That said, I don't doubt for a second, bad secondary or not, that he is running better routes or has better hands than our current WR's. You know how I feel about our receivers at this point.

running tight routes that all the look the same the first few steps is major stuff at WR, Im happy to hear hes doing the first most important thing at his position.

I just wish he wasnt built like Justin Hunter, wonder how he'll respond when the pads come on..

I mean, it doesn't look like he is fragile on tape....and he certainly seems more dedicated than Hunter. I think we may have at least a reliable target for Marcus, even if he doesn't pan out to be a huge star/playmaker...That in itself is great and much needed. I like the kids attitude and poise so far.

From the Titans recievers coach on Sharpe:

"He’s right there right now, he could be our starter, he could be the starting X,” receiver coach Bob Bratkowski said. “... He’s competing for it, nothing’s given to him at this point. But he’s performing at a level as high, or higher, than any of the guys in the group.

“It’s a good start. Obviously there are a lot of things down the road here that we’re going to have to deal with. But he’s very intelligent; he’s an extremely hard worker. He spends more time studying, getting extra help than anyone we have. He’s just in here constantly, on football. Plus he’s very well skilled. He plays fast, he is a crisp route-runner and with the intangibles of the studying and all the work that he puts in in the side, that’s giving him a chance to start.”

Bout time we had a hard worker at that position.
