Ehh the NT from the Jets would have been cool but that's really all I'm disappointed about. It was a weak class overall. Next year should be better and we will still have cap space plus 4 picks in the first two days of the draft.

I think Kelvin Beachum was a great signing for them at LT. I was hoping we'd get him instead of using a draft pick on one.

Yeah he wasn't a bad signing at all. They could still use help, but he was quality at a fair price. The irony is, we still need a tackle naturally lol

I also would have liked to see us lands Snacks at NT too. But otherwise, I'm ok not overspending on average talent. It was a weak FA and guys got way more than they should have. Hold onto that money for next year, not like we're making a push this year anyway.

I very seriously doubt we make any move.

We'd take aim at Leon Hall before him -- and that idea alone is so farfetch'd and don't want him anyways...

We are set on the front seven. In fact, we're flooded at LB (I think most will make the roster) Rak, Ave, Woody, Morgan, with rotations from Wallace, Palmer, Grant, Mount, Dodd. And With Jones, Woods, Casey holding down the 3. with rookie Austin Johnson showing great promise.

I think we have to get away from the mentality of not spending because the FA pool is weak(er). With the new CBA requiring teams to spend the gross majority of their cap, good/great players arent going to hit the FA market like they used too.I think going forward team's will mostly see just the second tier guys available

I'm going to give JRob a chance to see if he is willing to save the cap space for upcoming years and selectively landing quality talent.

The truth is that the cap should be allocated properly so we always have JUST enough space to land our needs. In the past, Webster and Reinfeldt blew cap space on dud players or players who didn't pan out. And historically, we leave room "for next year" and then when next comes we "leave room for next year" and so on and so on.

I think there were one or two players who were targeted this year but simply did not want to come here. And we wisely didn't entice them with more money.

It is SO critical that Mariota's development this year convert into a couple of more wins and we at least sniff a playoff possibility. We are building with "foundation character" players which should begin the process of changing the culture.

My biggest concern is that Mularkey simply isn't the guy. I'm hoping I'm wrong but he hasn't done anything at any stop he's been in charge. Which would require yet another "re-set". I think it was a mistake to advance him from interim HC- he didn't do anything spectacular while interim.

Shifting back to the run game should keep us in games longer. Maybe Mariota pulls a few out, maybe the D surprises us and can stand firm better than in the past.

Anyway bttp, we're building through the draft. Next year will be telling. If we don't spend then, we aren't ever going to spend and JR is "business as usual" with the Titans.
