They would effectively become a D League. I'm sure the logistics of it all are completely unrealistic and it will never happen.

I find CFB and CBB in their current forms kind of nasty.

They hide behind the universities and a lot of unsavory things take place.

It is a professional league in many ways. It is not just a collegiate team playing for the glory of amateur athletics.

    It is a massive business.

If the University presidents and AD's just came out and said, "Hey the education is an afterthought at this point, we are in it for the money and we are going to try to get every penny out of these kids that we can for 2-5 years." I would feel so much better.

That won't ever happen so I'd settle for a shoulder shrug and the AD just saying, "This is a business".

    Because it is.

What about the kid that isnt Arian Foster but is still a starter on a college football team that bringing in millions?

Between class, team meetings, practice, homework, and everything else.. these kids are busier than med school students

Break em off a little bit. Some standard amount for all D1 schools.. maybe another amount for d2 schools, etc

This would all be alleviated if the NFL would let guys enter the draft after high school.

College baseball has it right. Good enough to play in The League at 18? Go ahead and enter the draft. Want to go to school? Go for it, but you are committed to that school for three years.

Fortunately they are required to keep only a 2.0, which isn't hard when you have the resources these guys have.

    I agree with you.

    Pay them.

It amazes me when there is a guy who is academically ineligible within his first two years on campus. Those are the easiest ****ing classes in the world. It's like high school 2.0.

Do you just not go to class?

All of them. By NCAA rules you only need a 2.0 to remain eligible. There is a higher GPA for acceptance into the schools(individually), but once they're on campus they can skate by if they plan on majoring in NFL.
