Actually Mularkey said, "Sharpe has been the most consistent WR in OTAs. We are rewarding the guys who are consistent. He has been the guy who has been the most consistent so he is getting 1st team reps."

Some one asked if it was partly to motivate guys like Hunter & DGB and he said: Well it is competition. I would hope seeing a rookie come in and get 1st team reps ahead of them would motivate them. However, he (Sharpe) is getting 1st team reps because he has been one of the most consistent WRs in practice. It really has nothing to do with anyone else. We are looking for consistency and we are rewarding the players who exhibit it.

The WR Coach said, Sharpe is showing he can be that guy. He is being more consistent than anyone else in that group. He can be the starter this year. I would not be surprised at all if he is the starter the first game of the season.

This is all from interviews Wyatt put on Titansonline.com. It is probably MOSTLY early season hype.

I think this time it is the coaches over hyping the rookie. Maybe he turns out to be just as good as they say..... who knows. I highly doubt it. I have not seen anything on his tape that leads me to think he is going to be a stud WR.

However, if he does turn out to be great; it would be amazing for this team. It has been a VERY long time since this team has hit on a WR at all. Let alone a late round WR.

I will be VERY MUCH shocked if he is anything more than a depth guy. However, I would be very happy to be wrong. The team would certainly benefit. We need as many contributors as we can get at WR this year.

His skill set reminds me of a Wright replacement, if Wright wants too much money.

I could see Sharpe being a good slot receiver

I don't see it happening, but I would be very pleased if Sharpe had a monster season in the slot; and we let Wright walk in FA, I liked Wright when he first came to the team. He seemed to have a mindset of getting it done. I haven't seen any kind of "Give a ****" from Wright for a couple of years though. Other than him wanting himself to be "Relevant" again. Honestly I think that was much more about his ego than concern for the team.

Wright may have a great year, this year; in a contract year. However, I would not trust him enough to give him any kind of big money; or even average money deal. He simply has not earned it. Lately his attitude has been horrible. Last year it seemed like he was looking for reasons to miss games. I just have no faith in the guy to EVER have a team first; let's do what we need to in order to win attitude. He is always going to be the guy who thinks he should be the offense.

Let's be honest; we can replace his production rather easily through the draft or FA. Too much risk for a pay day contract IMO.

I've always been a big Wright fan, he's the only jersey I have outside of Young. But the past couple years, he's become too much of a "me" player. Plus, he can't stay on his feet, and really hasn't performed to the extent that his mouth has. Him claiming to be a #1, he just isn't he could be a great slot guy though. But even if he has a great year, I think he'll value himself too much and be expecting too much money to which, JR will walk away. Especially if Sharpe proves capable in the slot, which his skillset should. Guys having good years in contract years always scare me, but he has been good before. He's also had sub par QB play, so who knows. I'd be willing to extend Wright if he had a good season, but I think it would have to be a pretty fair deal because his replacement would be significantly cheaper.

Would suck to lose a 1st round pick for nothing though. Titans doing Titans things. And things like dat....

Don't really get the Wright skillset comment. Sharpe is big frame good route runner, questionable separation. Wright is small frame, sloppy routes, knack for getting open.

I for one won't be sad to see KW go...Especially for what he will want.
