Then people should hate on Webster not on Fowler. He isn't like the head cases we picked too early that don't produce (Sankey, Hunter, Ayers, BWW etc)

Really no harm in running 20-yards backwards on a busted 2 point conversion

7 attempts for 13 yards. He's rated so highly because he converted a couple of short yardage carries against the Colts. I don't care what PFF says.

I'll go ahead and ask the question again; how many wins does the best FB in the league net a team in today's NFL?

Idk probably somewhere from .25-.5 wins a season.

That would be great value for a fourth round pick. Most do jack all.

But then you look at the rest of the fourth round in 2015 and realize we passed up on some quality players to take a ****ing fullback.

TJ Clemmings, Tre Jackson, Za'Darius Smith, Kwon Alexander, Buck Allen, and Jake Ryan. All players who were/are at positions of need and contributed a lot more than a FB ever will.

There were a few guys in the fifth who should have been no-brainers over a FB too.

TJ Clemmings was almost as bad as Poutasi last year. If you prefered Clemmings over Poutasi then Poutasi was the wasted pick, not Fowler.

Anyways hindsight is too strong to argue with. Course there are some players that we missed (and everyone in the league a minimum of 4 times).

They were both wasted picks. I lambasted both of them this time last year.

Taking a FB in the fourth when you have a bad team is how a team gets as bad as the Titans are right now. At least we have a decided advantage for those 10 plays he's on the field though.

Same thing with taking a ****ing guard in the top ten. Bad teams are bad because they do stupid **** like that.

I don't have a problem with you knocking picking a FB in the 4th. But that's on Webster and not Fowler. Fowler is a baller and you are referencing a bad play when you say he's a bust. B!tch on Webster and not Fowler. Or ***** on some lame ass picks like Sankey, Hunter, Ayers, BWW whose body of work is established as being both picked too early AND they haven't done chit.

These "good" "role" players don't mean much. Blocking TEs in the third, FBs in the fourth... what is to show for it... absolutely nothing. Except top5 overall draft picks.

I don't know about that. Role players are crucial to set up marquee talent. If you don't have guys of 4th talent that have bought in, you won't have 1st and 2nd round talent doing chit.
