Having one of the two best players in the world on his team didn't hurt either...

Let's put it this way, they need to look like theyre even capable of winning consecutive games. How many seasons has it been since this team has even won 2 in a row? Lol

True ... But it seems like "his" TE coach isn't trying to get our QB killed.

Absolutely Portugal have a more talented squad than the Titans lol. But Portugal had more talent in 2004 & 2006 when they fell just short. Santos changed the entire mentality and makeup of this team. They never believed they'd lose at this tournament. Portugal use to be known as a bunch of prima Donna's who played for their individual self. Santos totally transformed their thinking, spirit and belief. I guess I'm hoping Mularkey is capable of the same.

I know it's a weird comparison, but one I'm very familiar with. Fan reaction to Santos hiring was as bad as Mularkey.

I was one of the crazies who put 8, but as a disclaimer; it's a very cautious 8. IF the OL improves, the run game improves, and we get some WR play, the offense could be fun to watch and put up some points. That's a lot of IFs, and being a Titans fan, I assume the worst. That said, MM8 should improve, and with all that's been invested in the OL, they have to turn things around eventually. The run game could wear defenses down, but we can't get down early.

That leads me to the second part; the front 7 should be pretty solid. Casey is excellent, and I'm a huge fan of the Johnson pick. I think he'll really help the 3-4, and in stopping the run game. That said, I really wanted us to land Snacks. We have depth at OLB, which was where things really fell apart after the Morgan injury. But we neglected the one spot I really wanted to see an improvement, CB. The front 7 needs to stay healthy, because if it goes down, the secondary will continue to get roasted.

The 8 is for my excitement. That is to see football, and the Titans. It is not an indicator as to how well they do. I think 6-8 wins is within the realm of possibility. What has me excited is that JR had a great offseason and fixed a lot of areas that had been neglected, and MM8 going into his second year. I think Murray will prove to be a great pickup and help the entire offense. My biggest disappointment is Mularkey, but there's nothing I can do about that.

I am stuck at 6. There is no doubt that we are not on a yellow brick road heading to the Superbowl. That being said, what I like the most is the heart and attitude our team is developing. We could have won a few more games last year if our whole team kept fighting til the last whistle blew. We were losers half way thru the fourth quarter too many times. I won't miss Griffin either.

    1) Our defense will be better . . . in Dick we trust.
    2) Our offensive line will have a heart and soul, barring injuries, it will improve. 3) With Mr Robinson at the helm there is no limit to what we can sift out of the waiver wire dumpster. After the draft we had I am more than half way positive.
