I really like the series and have seen most of them. The best I thought was:
    • The 16th Man: Amazing story on how sport was able to unite a country that could have plunged into ethnic violence like so many other African countries.
The others I would rank after:
    1. Once Brothers: I remember when the fallout happened between Vlade Divac and his Croatian former team mates. However I did not realize how vilified he was in Croatia. A very sad story
    2. The Two Escobars: When Andres Escobar scored on his own team like that everyone knew he would be killed. It was at a time when violence in Colombia was at its peak. Another sad story
    3. Into the Wind: Growing up in Canada I thought I had seen everything there was to see about Terry Fox. But this documentary told his story from a completely different angle and included a lot of new information.
    4. Bad Boys: As a life-long Pistons fan this was an amazing trip down memory lane. Such a different team. There will never be another team like that. David Stern made sure of it

Anybody watched "Darryl and Doc" last night?

Those Mets should have won more WS during their time......really sad story as both of these had the potential to be HOF'ers.

DOC didn't seem like he had kicked the habit

I watched some of it. Doc seemed to be taking it day-by-day.

He couldn't be touched in '85.

I watched Hillsborough from the "soccer stories" on Netflix which was all 30 for 30 pertaining to soccer. I was stunned, one of the best documentaries i have ever seen on any topic! An amazing story.

On april 15th 1989 96 people attended a playoff soccer match in Sheffield England and were crushed to death. Another 400 were injured bad enough to need hospital care. All of this easily preventable. The same 2 teams played in that same stadium a year ago without incident.

This story of governmental and police failures, media cruelty, the cover up and the 25 year struggle by the families to get justice for the 96 is riveting. Certainly of interest to anybody who is student of the social sciences, police science or communications.

This is the 30 for 30 documentary as broadcast by the BBC to British audiences. It's 15 minutes longer because material edited out for the 30 for 30 broadcast.

This documentary was not allowed on British tv until recently due to the new coroner's inquest that was ordered in 2012. The original inquest was the longest in British legal history.
