Being a Titans fan is like going to work: it's a meh time again and again. For me I remember the house of pain and Jerry Glanville. Then there was the run and shoot and then the Super Bowl run with McNair and George. The last 15 years have been a dutiful March to the office to fulfill my duties as a fan, spending a lot of time remembering when. It's why most of us rank it five out of ten.

I'm highly optimistic. We lost FIVE games last year by a touchdown or less. We win those and we're 8-8. A healthy Mariota, Mccourty, Morgan, Cox, Schwenke, Blackson, Hunter and Wright might have made the difference. Well guess what, those guys are all back and we added Murray, Henry, Mathews, Conklin, Jones, Rashad Johnson, Dodd, Byard, Austin Johnson, McCain and more! I mean seriously that's like having a whole new team available this year. I think if Mularky can put the pieces together we could have 10 wins. If not, at least we'll have next year! Right?

Just to be clear but Schwenke is why we lost several of those games, he should not be in the mix unless it's as a backup. And even then, if he's playing were in trouble

Ah ! The kicker is underlined here. With Mularkey at the helm its 7 wins maximum and that's a real big , stretch , kinda maximum. We have a little talent as you have pointed out but there ain't enough there with this coaching staff to get anywhere near 10 wins anytime.

I suspect of a study was done the majority of losing franchises have the majority of their losses by a touchdown or less. The league has done a good job of creating competitiveness. Even when your team is mediocre.

I'm not gonna judge Mularkey until I see what he can do with this team. I lived in Boston in 2000 when the Pats brought in Bellechick with a career losing record, and I remember how everyone was like "What is this garbage?!" Guess we were all pretty dang wrong there. I'm hoping people are wrong here too. Stranger things have happened.

Schwenke was certainly not the solution at center but he played vastly better than Gallik did when Schwenke was out. Gallik was hot garbage, Schwenke was luke warm ;)
