I thought Pacman had absolutly no hope - wasn't he in the WWE for a while?

I still maintain he could have been an amazing player for us. And I remember FOX and several others ranked him as all-pro @ CB (beside Champ) and PR; in what, his second year before all that drama took place? He was going to be a star for us, but so much garbage really detered his development and lowered his ceiling. But again, he still turned it around and played really well for CIN.

If he did it, why can't Gordon?

Didn't those guys like already cut/trade so many players? Why stop now? I'd def try to offer something, not a second, but something. Josh is a stud when he's on the field and for a late(r) round pick, he can potentially solve our WR problems if he pans out.

    Leaving Cleveland?
The return of Josh Gordon has hit another snag. The Cleveland Browns wideout is entering a rehabilitation facility and the team is making plans to release him, Ian Rapoport reports.

It seems he's gone 'indefintely'... Really sucks, I wanted him now!

In 1-3 years, I imagine that we would have found some receivers by then, but had we got him now, it could have been really good for us. I'd take a flyer on this guy, he was unstoppable and at 25 I would think he can play 'like he used to' even after being away from football for a while.

We just seriously need help at WR and at this point I'd take a chance on almost anything.

availability is the first most important thing a player must offer, with Gordon you just never know what he'll give you.

this guy is a major project, no thanks

    What about Sharpe + Gordon?

Getting him won't be just for HIS stats, but to open up room for Sharpe, Delanie, and the Smash brothers in the backfield.

I know he has off field issues. But he was in a trash city, with unimpressive people around him. Imagine how his character would change being around people like MM, Delanie, Demarco, his old teammate Kendall, Woodyard, rak, Stafford, and Tennesseeans vice the people of Cleveland!

Different atmosphere, more support, and more desire to win. I think if he's committed to being better as a person, those are guys I'd want to be around. And in terms of performance, if he can maintain, it's mutually beneficial all the way around

It wasn't Pacman's play that was the problem. He was one of the best we ever had here. His attitude was terrible, and his off field shenanigans were horrible. Taking trash bags full of money to strip joints to "make it rain" was his undoing, and his friends (and himself) were involved in drugs. Even with all that many people wanted to keep him here because he was so talented.
