Marcus is a very good NFL QB

I assume this is league QB rankings. Why does that even exist after each week or two? A preseason ranking makes sense (I guess) to keep NFL talk going until the season starts but continuous updates like team power rankings is dumb.

The only thing that saves Marcus is he has absolutely no wideouts. I like Sharpe but today he showed what he can do against a physical corner... and thats nothing. What gets lost in this is how Wright is pathetic. I mean send him to IR already and continue to move on.

 

The one thing that was concerning, yes the interceptions were but to me was the amount of passes that were knocked down as they got to the receiver. I counted 3 if not 4. I don't know if this is a timing issue and how hard is throwing it or if it's a receiver unable to separate problem. I just don't know if it all comes back to the same Noodle Arm narrative.

 

The longer the ball is in the air, the more time the DB has to break up the ball.

Mariflota throwing late, soft and behind WRs makes it very easy for DBs to break up passes.

 

Alot of our wideouts cannot get open so Marcus has to thread the needle each time. However, he stairs down guys constantly and that may be a reason some are getting knocked down like you said. We have two #1 picks next year so hopefully we draft a corner and a wide out

 

I was having Jake Locker flashbacks watching the game today. Mariota had a really rough game and we still had a chance though. Mariota has to play smarter and better overall if we are going to win some games.

I feel like we are on the verge of being an average team which would be a drastic improvement on the terrible team we've been the past 2 years.

 

4th down....16 seconds....he doesn't roll out...he doesn't look at anyone but Douglas. Disappointing. He stared down Johnson last week and it worked, but not this week.
