We can already tell 3 games in that this season is going to show us what kind of metal JR is made of lol.

The question is understandable after a winnable game slips away, yet if Mularkey demoted Robiske after only three games he would be roundly criticized for jumping the gun. In truth, the Titans have been in all three games, and considering our lack of offensive playmakers and the turnovers in our losses they could have all been wins easily. Maybe a few calls were bad, but it seems like the overall plan is good. Mariota has to learn, and better with a team that's learning with him how to win as a unit. Fix the turnovers and penalties and we are having a very different conversation.

If Douglas isn't held twice and 'tripped', he would have been open and this would be a different conversation depending on how well Mularkey's intended two point play would have or have not worked!

As bad as it's looked...they have at least been in every game. We were all worried about the D but they've held up and the O hasn't done their part. Something has to give on the offensive side of the ball or it's going to be like this every week.

Come on! You know better! Call him out on his fumbles - absolutely. Call him out for making a bad read or making a bad throw - yup. But when we have wr's running the wrong routes, wrong route depths, and not coming back for the ball and that leads to an INT on a good throw? That's a WR problem on those plays!

In the Detroit game, McCourty met the ball with a Detroit WR (Tate I think) but their WR held onto the ball for dear life and got a completion out of it. Matthews didn't come back for the ball and didn't even try fighting for it.

I think he was the one on both INT's that were on him. The throw that Smith picked should have been placed in front of him but at worst that should have been an incompletion.

Sharpe has looked a bit like a rookie...and not what we saw in preseason. Johnson hasn't looked very good. Matthews has been flat out terrible! What's left...Douglas? With Wright and Delanie hurt...we don't have a lot of options except dump offs to Murray.

If he can't trust Sharpe to be where he's supposed to be, Matthews can't get separation and turns contested throws into INT's, Johnson has had uncharacteristic drops...

Call it like it is. Mariota should get his fair share of the blame but Matthews, Johnson and Douglas aren't doing their jobs (and don't get me started on the coaching staff)! Stafford threw many contested balls and they caught almost all of them!

D is doing it with smoke and mirrors.

D has been around middle 10 against the run and bottom 10 against the pass - like this is my opinion man.

Counting on dropped passes to keep TDs off the board is not going to last for this D. There will be a game where they catch them like that Viking TE Ebron did.

but however thru 3 weeks the Titans have not been boatraced out of a game yet. Although giving up 25 straight in the home opener was less than satisfying.

In both home games once the Titans were down I had no belief they would win.

It's funny, INT's that shouldn't have at worst been incompletions get blamed on Mariota. The defense has given up something like 4+TD's that were called back...mostly for reasons not relating to what happened on the play and yet we are talking about how great they are?

This is how fans feel good about themselves and then we play a team like the Pats and they drop 50 on us...! How many games is Cox gonna give up a short catch and let it become a long run!? How many times is a S gonna come up and whiff on a rb running right at them? Thought we got rid of that with Griffen leaving!

Our secondary has flat out been atrocious! Cox, McCain, our S's....!

Dropped passes etc happen for every D. For a D that counts as an incompletion whether they knock it out or the WR just flat out drops it, the results are the same. I agree they can't depend on those to win games but sometimes that's the difference in a game. Happens that way in every game across the league. Can't rate a D based on how many dropped passes they didn't get to defend.

The defensive side of the ball hasn't been great... But they have given the O plenty of chances to stay in games. Not going to win many games with 10 points on the scoreboard.
