I can't believe our luck with WRs...It's honestly insane......Out of all of the people given chances, guys brought in, etc...They only ones worth a damn are a 5th round rookie and old a$$ Johnson.....

I agree. But, when your QB is turning over the ball three times a game, it limits opportunities to score.

After the first game, many were in here saying how the offense got too cute and that they just needed to line up and run the football.

We line up and run the football on Sunday and we get the best production from the run game we've seen in years.

If Lewan doesn't have a brain fart, we likely score and tie the gameā€”all without the #1 WR and a Pro Bowl TE on the field.

I don't think we've seen the exact same scheme played in any of these three games. What I am seeing is a lack of receiving talent and a QB who is struggling. I don't think scheme overcomes either of those issues.

So blame Trader Jon. He's the one who moved DGB.

I'm sure Mularkey was also involved in that in some fashion. I'm not so down on Mularkey as I've mentioned in other posts. I don't like our inability to score points and that our franchise QB has undeniably regressed this year. And I put that on the O scheme we're running which was advertised as "taking pressure off Mariota". I don't think anybody can deny this offense doesn't pass the eye test either. I'd have to think about how many of the miserable 14 point/game average actually came from outside the no huddle.

My point is this new scheme just isn't getting it done. For whatever reason. And Mularkey is ultimately responsible for it.

I admit, hated on hunter for years and was very critical of DGB and said lots of garbage about him. However, I think we could use those guys today. We need speed and size. I'm very disappointed in Matthews, he had the chance to show himself as the guy but dropped huge drive killing passes, also he gets zero separation.

I agree man...HUGE disappointment...I wasn't critical of the DGB trade, mainly because he couldn't get there mentally...Nor could Hunter...Wright being out definitely hurts us, but he isn't a guy that can separate and be a worry to opposing Dbacks. We legit have NOBODY that is worrisome to a Defense.

    Huh?

The Pats don't leave the edge open for Brady to be killed...so what are you talking about. We actually DO have the offensive personel to run what they do in Patriotland. We have a great pass catching WR in DW, a very good and quick slot guy in KW, a better version of Blount in DH and another good RB in DM. And we have better OT's than they do and a much more mobile QB.

The key with McDaniels is don't make the same mistake Denver and Philly made...don't make him GM or give him personel power. With Robinson here, much less of a problem. And while he did give away their best WR and QB, he was able to go to the playoffs with Tim Tebow at the helm when Tebow is not even a backup QB in this league. He has shown he can craft very good game plans around the personel and the opponents' strengths and weaknesses. Do we have that now?

Let's not go down the road about who's ultimately responsible. I'd rather look for the real reasons the offense sputters and discuss ways to improve it.

IMO, you have to point your finger at Mariota not protecting the football, injuries taking key players off the field, an entirely new offense scheme being run by new players and a lack of talent at the WR position overall.

First and foremost are the six turnovers in three games. Few teams in this league can overcome that.

New O scheme from a 5-23 head coach. Franchise QB turning the ball over more in this system with less points being scored. OK. The HC and OC bear no responsibility.
