You didn't even like them in 3rd or 4th grade?

What other music were kids listening to? Backstreet Boys and NSync? Britney Spears? Christina Aguilera?

Nope. At that age I was listening to primarily country. Alabama, Garth brooks, George straight. Then into rap, eminem and company, eventually moving to Swedish death metal in middle school.

It's pretty simple: B182 has ****** vocals delivered with a really stupid accent. That godawful "voice insoid moiyad" song was the worst offender. And that Tom Delonge has any "signature" guitar by any manufacturer is just plain silly and cheapens the industry. This is why everyone quit playing guitar and just uses laptops now.
And if you're a country fan you're a big part of what's wrong with America.

Only option we have is Time Warner or Dish. We don't want the dish... so that leaves cable - gouging.

The antenna would be great, except we are nearly 30 miles from broadcast towers. So, we'd need a high - powered one... That is against HOA rules. Those indoor antennas are only good in certain areas.

It has been around a few years but Google chooses their own markets.

They pretty much wipe the floor with whatever ISP exist there when they move in.

    The best thing?

You can pay like $300 up front for equipment and instalation and enjoy FREE 5mbps Internet unlimited forever. Which is currently faster than many places.

For $70 you get 1 GIG PER SECOND download speeds. Just sick.

For $120 you get 1gbps Internet and TV service along with a massive DVR hard drive, terabyte of storage on Google Drive and a Nexus 7 tablet.

    Started in KC.

    Expanding quickly.

Nashville area is on the next list to get it. So is the Atlanta area.

It only hit a couple markets last year but was a massive success.

2014 will have them seriously expanding. I think by 2016 you will see it in every state if not more.

Comcast will probably run to Congress and cry. Market monopolies are in danger.

Especially when Google is offering FREE Internet.

Nashville residents are hot because Google keeps hitting water mains digging lines....lol.
I had Dish, and I thought they sucked, until I moved to a small city and couldn't get line of sight, so had to go with Charter. Dish looks great now. I was paying $79 for the top 200. Their menu is MUCH easier than Charter, and I forgot how nice it was not to have a cable box in other rooms. So anyway, I took the Charter package - Cable (lame), Internet and Phone (whoopee) for $129 bundled. After football season I am going to find a better or different way. This really sucks. I live about 50 from the big city, so not sure an HD antenna will work, but going to ask around. Any input helpful.

Generally, approximately 30 miles from a tower is best. 50 is doable.

Has anyone looked at Hulu TV as a viable option? Just curious if it's worth it. Really considering it, right now. $45/month for 50+ channels, local channels, 50 hours of HD DVR on the cloud, and unlimited commercial free streaming. Live channels include A&E, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, National Geographic, Syfy, TBS, TNT, Tru, History, FS1, FS2, Food ... basically every channel I actually watch on my DirecTV package (with the exception of ID murder channel).

Explaining that to DirecTV put a quick scare in them, too. lol
I called DirecTV last night and asked "When is my contract up?" They gave me an unlisted customer service number and a 4-digit pin that skipped me to the front of the line, so I didn't have to wait. The special number is for customers who are considering leaving, and they try really hard to bend over backwards for you, apparently. lol

Asked why I'm leaving, I explained that I signed up in 2013 for $30/month, last month my bill was $90/month, and I'm on the cheapest package they offer (Select). So, for that price, I feel like I can get better value elsewhere and am considering going with Hulu TV when my contract is up.

They told me my deal is up in September, but that they would be able to offer me a better deal than Hulu. They have a package cheaper than Select, they just don't list it because they don't want you on it, they want you on the more expensive stuff ... kind of dirty, but OK. Switching to that, I was able to get down to $55/month. Then, they gave me a 12-month credit of $25/month ... getting me down to $30/month. Then they threw in 3-months free of HBO just for the hell of it. lol
