Teams have been doing that for years. Fisher did it with Eric Norgard his first year as head coach.

I had not seen us do that in the first few games this year. After watching Supernaw get blown up a few times, and seeing another team using extra lineman against us, we started doing it, so I assumed the light went on. If he did know about it why did he wait so long to incorporate it?

Playbooks can be very in depth, sometimes theres simply no time to incorporate it all

Titans can have anywhere from 15-20 scripted plays going into a game, playbooks are upwards of 300 plays, you cant bring all your plays out in just a single game...

The thing Im excited by is the fact we're evolving every week to find what works and what doesn't. I was seriously worried these older coaches wouldn't be able to adapt on the fly, but they have.

Mularkey said the coaches (didn't say how many) are allowed to submit the first two plays of the game, and he can accept or reject. I thought that was a small number - I have heard some script the first 15. After that it's a chess match, with both sides adapting. He said Robiskie did the big MM run last week, so he still knows what's up.

Never underestimate old people. As the old joke goes, two bulls are watching cows from up on a hill. The young one says lets run down there and screw a few. The old bull says lets walk down there and get them all.

The man is 3-3, and the 3 defeats weren't on him. Sports commentators, social media, our GM, our candidates for GM, other coaches, other teams fans, and especially "you and I" have all vilified this man.
Coach Mularkey has our team relevant at Week 7 for the first time in years. Dammit, we just won back to back games in 3 years!
I am going to STFU and support Coach Mularkey just like his players do.
