Black Mirror - Season 3 Reviews - Metacritic

Originally a Channel 4 Britain show that aired 7 episodes. A modern twilight zone/outer limits show focusing on technology and its impact on humankind. I highly recommend the first and last episodes of the series as standouts, but all were pretty good.

Netflix picked up the show and has filmed 12 episodes divided into 2 release dates. The first release of 6 episodes was today. Great reviews so far, I will be watching them soon.

Hahaha great first episode of new season. Reminds me of people here that couldn't handle a negative rep.

I think Black Mirror (seasons 1-2) were some of the best TV out there.

But so far.. 2 episodes into this 3rd season, and they just don't have the same depth or gut-punch that they've had in the past.

Worried about this season being weak. Hopefully the episodes get better.

Only watched the first one, but I would agree it would be a "weaker" episode. Ending made me laugh though

Lol this first episode is a rightfully disgusting view on "likes" that world would be unbelievable to live in.

It's pretty close- just not as obvious (yet).

Instagram, facebook, etc... people stress about their followers, how many likes a post gets, etc. So they act in ways that apply to that. Like her taking the photo of her coffee/biscuit at the table... even though she didn't like the drink.

On dating apps, you can choose to only see the "higher" ranking singles. People that get more right swipes on average.

    It's going there.

Models/actors are now hired based on their "online presence" or not hired because of their lack of it.

Yea I absolutely see it, it's just not as visually obvious as you said. I don't think many of us care as much as it was portrayed (at least not our generations)

Dude couldn't even get to work with a rating below 2.5... I mean it obviously isn't that serious.... yet.

Had a lady rudely cut me off in the store yesterday... fiancé looked at me like wtf. I motioned the rating swipe and made the sound effect and proceeded to say aloud "1 star!" Lols for days

Damn that ending of the 4th episode gave me the feels. But it also gave me the creeps.

Only one left. I've liked the first 5, maybe think episode 5 was weakest. None as good as first or seventh episode of original, although this season ep4 has stuck with me. Never watched halt and catch fire but I've liked Mackenzie Davis in a few things I've seen her in

4th one was pretty good. Got the people I watched it with talking about it and thats always good. I liked the 3rd one too for the revelation at the end.

2nd was interesting up until the end. Thought that twist was really lame. Why would you even bring a cellphone into the room if it has the possibility of interference. dumb. Felt too inception-y.

1st was fine but a little too on-the-nose critique on social media lol.
