Agreed he missed a couple of third downs and was inconsistent, but he also made some good 3rd down throws as well. He gave us a 23-20 lead, but our Swiss cheese defense couldn't et a stop when we needed it. We didn't lose because of him either. He was awful in the Oakland game yet got us in position to tie, but we always find a way to lose, same in Houston game. Where the ST and defense?

While I agree that we can use different things, this formation gained 5 yards. I dont have a problem with coaches trying new things. Anyone can critique and say well we could have, but we gained yards on the play. To me thats part of game planning, may be later you use that formation and add something like what you are talking about

To me thats just the difference between good teams and bad. For the most part, the margin in the NFL is small. We have shown improvement, but we are still a bad team.

Special teams has been a total nightmare, literally every single week has been a disaster for that unit, that's bad coaching. I have a ton of respect for Dick but when you're defense gives up 350 yds passing to a rookie third stringer last week and another 350 to a team who has only ONE receiver you've ever heard of then that my friend is terrible coaching. You know as well as I do there is no excuse for letting T. Y. Get off on us. If it hadn't been for him dropping three passes he would have went for 200 against us

The problem is he has no idea how to keep his safeties back to cover fades, posts and corner routes. It's his job to adjust to their lack of ability to cover wide ranges and "coach" em up as well as call plays that give them the best opportunity to be able to cover all of the deeper routes.

My first choice would be Doug Peterson from the U. Of Washington. Matt Patricia from N.E. Would be my next choice.

Who is the QB Coach? BURN THAT GUY.

Mariota is regressing... offensive scheming is a problem, but all QB's need a good coach.

You can't run the ball all the time. You have to pass to keep the defense honest. And besides, if we ran more than we did yesterday, you'd have people complaining that Robiskie is conservative, doesn't take shots downfield, etc. etc.

The defense was horrible and there is no excuse. I'm almost wondering if they'd started looking ahead to Thursdays game because of the short week.
