Torrey Smith

I don't see us drafting OL early. I prefer getting them via FA. I'm kind of tired getting mid-round OL. I understand you sometimes strike gold doing that, but alot of times you don't. Maybe I'm just used to our old ways of drafting.

Bring Torrey in, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt. Might hurt the cap tho.

 

just have torrey smith and kendall wright run slants and outs every pass play and i guarantee we make the playoffs.

 

We have a decent guard prospect on IR (you know your teams sucks when the practice squad players get hurt) from FSU, 6.5, 309 - Matias. We also get Bell back. We aren't drafting any guards. We have way too many other needs.

 

We've already seen how ineffective Torrey Smith is when he plays with a QB who has a terrible Deep ball. Smith would rot here being overthrown on open deep routes never even getting a chance to put his hands on the ball.

Matias is not a decent prospect, he is a practice squad player

Isn't that why you put them there....to develop? If you don't believe they will ever play a down, why waste the room? Practice fodder?

 

I liked the JRob hire. He was my guy. He'll be dead to me if he does that.

 

No, you put them there so the real players have someone to practice against.

Hardly anyone on the practice squad ever goes on to do anything.
