We hit slants constantly last season. I just think its the coaching and scheme, I don't know? It's just so mind boggling and doesn't make sense what we do. We totally go away from what works such as, a few designed QB runs, slant passes, run up the gut on 3rd and 1, etc.

yes osweiler sucks. especially for a wr like Hopkins. Just like MM, it's gonna be hard for any wr to go off with him at qb on a consistent basis.

Funny... 62% completion percentage, 31-16 TD to int, 4400+ yards and an average 7.4 yards per completion... pretty sure that means he completes just a few over 5 yards... just saying. BTW his completion percentage is higher than McNairs, Flaccos, Farves, Jim Kellys, Ken Stabler, Eli Manning and Dan Marino... just to name a few.

    AND WARREN MOON...

With the exception of Flacco, in comes the major rule change of 2004, the Peyton Manning rule.

As much as I agree the MM is not the only problem by a long shot, I do think he has some things to work on, but the guys listed don't necessarily help your argument as they are almost all pre-DB can't touch the WR rules.

That's really not a valid comparison at all. Most of those guys threw the ball down the field - to everyplace on the field. MM picks and chooses (or someone does it for him) and throws short passes that run up his numbers. Look up the YAC and see how that stacks up. Look at his pass distribution - how many to RB's, TE's and WR's? He hits a 4 yard pass to DM and DM runs for 10 more. How many of those QB's had a really good running game? The one stat no one wants to post is wins and losses. That group you posted had tons of wins and a few SBs.

Um... Eli Manning is in there as well... plenty of others "in this era" too. Point being he said he couldn't hit a wide open wr for a 5 yard pass... pretty sure he has and more often than some.

I said he has missed many of those, and when you draft a QB, you expect some quality of accuracy. As others have pointed out, he says he is lazy with footwork, etc. etc. I don't want to hear things like this from our supposed franchise QB. Get with it. Other people are playing their butts off while his is farting around. Time to grow up.

Please. You basically just proved my point. How many YA do our wr's have again? They catch the ball and are tackled immediately, we have 1 guy capable of YAC and he's been off the field more than he's been on, the only guys getting those yards come from the TE and RB positions.
