Sorry, thought you were referring to 2nd rounders specifically. I agree though, I liked the Johnson pick and think he'll start next year. Byard has looked good so far and will be the full time starter next year as well, nice for a 3rd rounder :)

I think this is an old injury. He may or may not have known about it. I would hate to think he kept quiet about it. I also hope we have some type of performance clause in his contract for things like this. He really didn't play a lot of college ball (another DGB) so it was a crapshoot taking him without seeing if he could hack it year in and year out. Look at Foster playing with a hurt wrist. I still believe this was a stress fracture that happened years ago and didn't heal right. It could be real problems getting this fixed correctly.

I can see how it was confusing, I said second day, not second round.

We are bringing up another LB to take his place.

PRO: Justin Staples is a versatile linebacker that has the ability to play both inside and outside linebacker in a 3-4 defensive scheme. The 6-foot-4-inch, 245-pounder has excelled on special teams coverage units in his first two seasons with the Titans. Tennessee originally added Staples from their practice squad to the active roster on Nov. 20, 2014. The 6-foot-4-inch, 245-pounder entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns in 2013 and spent parts of his rookie campaign on the team’s practice squad.

Spence looks fantastic, which makes the Dodd pick hurt so much more.

Except one is a dynamic athlete w/ potential to be a top 5 ILB in the league.

I think most people here already know my opinion on the other.

Naaah. I knew a stress fracture was s bad indicator of a chronic problem. Shame on Dodd for hiding it and shame on our medical for not picking up on it. And shame on JRob for taking a flier with that high of a puck. There wasn't a body of work large enough to justify it.
