Can we at least wait until he plays not injured before we call him a bust?

I'm not defending him because I think he is good, but I think it's kind of ridiculous to label a guy that's been injured and missed all of camp etc and came back obviously still injured, a bust.

Cute? Getting a pure pass rusher is cute? He is a DT, not a LB. Buy a clue.

This sounds more like a lack of desire than a health issue, but we will have to wait it out until next year to find out.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Monday, outside linebacker Kevin Dodd, the 33rd pick in the NFL draft who underwent a foot surgery for a stress fracture in May, was put on IR by the Titans.

“He's healthy,” Mularkey said Nov. 28 after the second missed game. “Again, his sense of urgency in practice needs to pick up. He knows that's what we're expecting. We need to see him both when we're doing our defensive side of the ball and when we show the scout team. I need more from him, and he knows that.”

Monday, Mularkey said while others have played without issue this far removed from the surgery Dodd had, it simply wasn’t happening for Dodd.

“We felt like (we were) making no progress,” Mularkey said. “I think the injury was affecting him in a number of ways. I mean, nothing's changed from the beginning. He's just had a hard time practicing with it and it's affected his performance. We feel it's best for Kevin. We'll reevaluate it…

“I said it was performance. That's, again, what I'm saying. It was based on performance. It was affecting him, I think, a little bit in his head that this thing was not allowing him to play at the level he wanted to, and that affected his performance, which affected why we put him down.”

Yeah I saw that.... looks like Dodd is just not motivated. Probably because Morgan and Orakpo are above him and he has no chance of moving up.

Pass rushing isn't an issue on this team, Coverage is.

When you create pressure on a QB it makes your DB's look very good. Football 101.

We're creating pressure and they still suck, creating more pressure might help them slightly but them not sucking would help them a whole lot more.

We are not getting to the QB nearly enough. We sold out several times and could never get to Luck. When you rush 7 and don't even bother him, you have some real issues. We have to get a beast up front, and a very good LB immediately.

I am sure we upgrade DB's this year too, but if you get a good front 4 to rush, you don't have to break the bank with elite CB's. We drop LB's into coverage a lot also, so that has to be a concern too.
