ELI5: Why is Luck Considered a great QB?

Because he picks on lousy teams all year (6 within his own division) and pads his stats.....YET, when he gets to the playoffs and faces good teams, he folds like origami.

 

If he faces a good team.

Worst is when he faces a good team and that good defense does inexplicably dumb **** to lose.

 

My favorite time was being over at my wife's family in Indianapolis for a birthday party... and Luck was getting RAPED by the Rams a few years ago.

Was marvelous.

 

I'm one of Luck's biggest haters only because he was anointed before even drafted and people still ride his dong hard.

That said, he is top 10, without a doubt. After 2014 though you had multiple "experts" say he was the best QB in the NFL. Lmao brainwashed.

 

We threw everything we had at him and still can't stop him. He does very well considering the lack of talent around him. You talk about our receivers...what does he have to work with? But yet he goes to NY and beats the Jets 41-10. I give the man respect.

 

Luck is a baller, period. Can't stand him but it is what it is. Fix what's around him and wins increase. Should be the same for Marcus.

 

Speaking of the Colts, this might help:

The NFL announced Tuesday that Colts inside linebacker D’Qwell Jackson has been suspended for four games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substance policy.

Jackson, 33, leads the Colts in tackles. He’s in his third year with the team after spending his first eight NFL seasons with the Browns.

Jackson previously has never missed a start with the Colts.

The four-game suspension means Jackson is done for the regular season and can return to the team should the Colts qualify for the playoffs. At 6-6, the Colts are in a three-way tie atop the AFC South the with the Texans and Titans.

"Greatness" is very much in the eye of the beholder. Yeah, a bit of Flacco, some Big Ben. Not flashy, just seems to find a way to will his team to a win more often than we Titan fans like. We would all like to see more of that quality from Mariota, at times...
