I'm not arguing that Murray isn't the better RB. I recall one of the 1 yard runs at least that it was blocked for him to run up the middle, he tried to bounce it outside for me than a yard. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. In that case, he needed to plow full steam ahead no matter what. I believe it was the Colts game.

Henry SHOULD be a better short yardage back than Murray. The guy is huge and in theory should get s yard every time.

But the RB in these short yardage situations is irrelevant. When you bunch everybody near the line of scrimmage and show an obvious attempt to run the ball up the middle its basically 11 vs 10 because the qb isn't a lead blocker. Add in the time it takes to synchronize the snap and handoff and these sceneros aren't nearly as successful as its made out to be. Especially not in the form that we keep trying to do it.

I hate to say it but Murray hasn't been right since the Jaguars game. Its pretty obvious. If you subtract the 75 yard run he had against GB he is only avg 3.1 yards per carry over the last 4 games, yet still getting a little over 17 carries a game in that span.

I agree. He's obviously in pain and doesn't have the power he did earlier in the season. Goes down easier now too. Hope the bye helped his toe heal.

I hope so too but we can't count on him to finish the season the way he started. Its time to start using Henry for what he was drafted to do.

It's the NFL, does not matter when or how good they are, they will always be all over the Cowboys' nuts.

In the Bears game Murray was wrapped up in the backfield. Not sure if a block was missed or if he just shot the gap. Maybe even Henry doesn't get that yard. My complaint is we try to do these elaborate plays that never work. The most elaborate thing I want to see is a playfake and then let MM try to run to the sidelines for the yard. I still believe we could run Andrews or Fowler right up the gut and get one yard. They are built better for doing that.

Grimm and JRob deserve all the credit. Who would have imagined that we could turn around the OL so quickly. Last yr was hideous.

We do need to improve our power run blocking still, but I'm so happy were our OL stands right.

Bob Bostad was terrible OL coach but I will give him credit for one thing, Quinton Spain. Spain went undrafted because his technique was beyond horrible. Bostad fixed that and quickly, he deserves credit.
