No, it is the coaching staff protecting him. He is not ready yet, as I keep trying to point out, to be "turned loose" but he is getting there pretty fast. 90% of his throws are to the sidelines, to DM or a seam route. He hits a deep ball once in a while, but he is avoiding the middle of the field because that is where the coaches know the danger lies. Teams are starting to catch on, which makes it imperative we run the ball for success. Next year I suspect they let him have at it. We are playing high percentage ball right now, which doesn't always equate to staying on the field, but it does limit turnovers (like last year) which are devastating. This is why we have been in every game this year.

 

Anyway will do, but mine is probably most realistic

 

You didn't mention games...I had 2-2 for Houston and Indy as well

Jags beating either was a sidenote

 

Expectations

1.) Our D will give up an opening drive score by playing soft D.
2.) Lewan will get a Hands to the Face penalty.
3.)We will make a below average to average QB look like the second coming of Joe Montana.

With that being said, both games should be winnable in the 4th quarter because as bad as we have played sometimes this year, we've been in every game.

 

You left off TE's will run wild like deer through the secondary.

 

Why? We can't beat anyone in this division besides the hapless Jags. We just released one of our STARTING corners because he couldn't cover. You really think we have a shot against the defending Super Bowl Champs?

 

We have more than a chance ... we have imminent victory.

 

Some of y'all are really optimistic this team will beat Denver.

Nothing wrong with that. I really wish I could be same way and have as much faith.

But I don't think I've ever despised anything this franchise has ever done more than this secondary and ILB group.

I had more faith in Locker not getting hurt and completing at least 55% of his passes than I do this defense in pass coverage.

If there was just one more NFL quality corner besides McCourty and an ILB that had at least average athleticism. This team probably has a 2 game lead in the division.
