The WR vs CBs should be fun to watch...if we are looking for a Wes Welker type slot guy then Trent Taylor and Ryan Switzer are the guys to watch. Zay Jones has also had a great college career.

what in the world do you see in a guy who can only line up on the left side and run hitches and go routes?

Are we looking for a slot guy though? I would figure if we drafted a Mike Williams type guy we'd look to move Sharpe to the slot, or if we kept Kendall Wright around, that's really his position - although I doubt we will.

That being said, it will be great to watch the 1 v 1 of CB/WR to see how the corners in this years draft stack up against a decently talented WR group.

I really like Anderson. People seem to be sleeping on him.

I certainly think we are looking for a slot receiver...since we don't have one on the roster now....not a chance that Wright is back

Why would a team who runs 3 receiver sets way less than every other team in the NFL want a slot receiver? I think they would be more inclined to draft a 2nd TE than a slot guy.

If they go receiver, they're taking a guy who can get open on his own in the Titans base personnel and not someone who needs to be schemed open.

The Titans fired their wide receiver coaches and hired the Temple University receivers coach who has no NFL coaching experience. Those putting out mock drafts showing the Titans drafting Williams or another wideout with the number five pick in the draft ignore that. No way they pair a rookie player and a rookie coach to handle their most important upgrade on the offense. They have a crap load of cap room. Alshon Jeffries or bust, imo, but even if they don’t land him, they will sign a true #1 NFL proven receiver, or trade for one. I can see them drafting a first round receiver with the #18 but not the #5 pick. A trade down to 10, 12 or later and getting a top second round pick seems more likely. I can see them drafting a cornerback at 12, a wideout at 18 and another cornerback early in the second with a draft pick they acquire trading down.

And, LeBeau loves Kevin Byars, so enough with the mocks showing us taking a safety with either first round pick. We might see us take a pass rushing linebacker since Dodd is a bust, though. GM Robinson thought that was a priority before the last draft, swung and missed, so I expect him to take another swing at filling that need either in free agency or the draft.

I've been arguing this same point. Having another quality TE that can flex and catch would be a stronger return value than a slot guy. Blurs the lines between 11 and 12p, let's us attack defensive personnel packages how we see fit at the line.

And again yes to the WR who can win 1v1. Silly to spend draft capital on guys who need help when we run limiting route packages due to us consistently being in 12 or greater personnel.
