I think Douglas gets cut here soon, so we wont have to resort to him again

    I hope

You dont need a #1, but if you dont, you need 3-4 Rishard Matthew types (which we dont yet have)

Davis or Williams would elevate everyone elses play by demanding safety help

    Id be happy with that

History can be taken into consideration when it's relevant. Clemson has had great success with recruiting and developing receivers over the last several years. It's a pattern. Not always an indicator of success, but it sure as hell helps to look at the recent history. How are Watkins, Hopkins, and Bryant not good examples? Yes, Bryant has turned out to be a problem off the field, and that's why I mentioned as long as there are no red flags with Williams, I think he's a solid pick.

And Williams is getting hype because he has the size you look for in a #1... and a legitimate jump ball WR is something we haven't had. Did you see him in the championship game against Bama?

I haven't kept up with prospects this year as much as I have in the past, so I'm bowing out of most discussions, but as long as there are no red flags with Williams, I think he'd be a good pick.

To combine a true #1 WR with a franchise qb would be a beautiful thing

Huge fan of this guy, would be thrilled to land him at 18.

He's a good kid. High floor/high ceiling guy. He's a great addition to any team, the question is where to take him.

    maybe?

Western Michigan WR Corey Davis suffered an ankle injury in training and may miss the Combine.
It would be a big disappointment after Davis skipped the Senior Bowl. Davis piled up 331 catches for 5,278 yards and 52 touchdowns in his four-year college career and is likely to come off the board in the first round. Some evaluators we respect believe Davis is the most talented wideout in this year's class. Jan 31 - 12:18 PM

No chance in hell unless there are off-field issues no one is aware of right now.

Minor ankle surgery isn't going to drop him to the second round.

But if he can't attend the combine, doesn't that make him more of a risk? He is currently a late first rounder. Dropping to a top 5 second round seems plausible.
