I edited my post to include a statement. Read it.

I really don't understand how you cannot see my point here. So, I guess I will just have to agree to disagree.......

I see your point. I just think it is dumb and wrong.

The GM is going to have to answer to the front office, the team itself, the media, etc before they are going to have to answer to the fanbase. Especially with how high everyone is on the GM right now.

...and if the GM does have to answer to the fanbase, it won't be over ticket prices, since any reasonable person knows that the GM has nothing to do with ticket prices. If anyone has to deal with backlash to ticket prices, it will be the front office/ownership.

Upped ticket prices put an inconsequential amount of pressure on the GM, unless by some dumb chance it makes Lewan not want to resign or Bouye not want to come here, etc.

I never said the GM answers to the fan base. I said, JRob is under more pressure to improve this year in regard to the increase. I think it will be an obvious storyline for the media if the team does not perform well this year. Specifically if we make no real moves to improve the defense.

Obviously you are one of those people who are only capable of seeing one side of things. Yours. That's fine.

Mark my words; this year IF the team does not improve, the price increase will be a storyline in the media. After years of bad play & only 1yr of improvement the ticket price increase will be brought up. Again, IF the team fails to deliver; and/or the GM fails to upgrade the secondary.....

Just last year when JRob was hired it was a storyline that Season Ticket Fees were due too early.

Proposing that the Titans needed to move back the date so fans could see what the team does in the offseason before making the commitment.

Does this thread have anything to do with Lattimore and the #5 pick? All i see is things about prices and tickets, lol. You guys are really good at shifting subject matter, lol.

Ticket price increase happns over time, idc how they address it publicly, it jus happens. So there's that.

Lattimore at #5 sounds really good if dude is truly the best cb in the draft. But, if there's questions, then I'd pass. We need 2 or 3 solid d players out of this off-season and if we only land one via fa, we need to trade the pick. I think with the depth at cb this year, teams will be reluctant to pull the trigger on one early. Unless one stands out in this "deep" class. If we see 2 cbs as top 10 picks we should slide back to around 10 and pick our guy there.

D'uh. JRob is under so much pressure from the $2-8 price increase that he might totally buckle and take Marcus Lattimore or Marshawn Lynch #5.

I'm solid on the fact that we're sticking at 5. Jrob knows we won't be in the Top 5 for a very very long time. god willing.. at 5 you either take a can't miss desparate need... or you trade... and lattimore is the most complete, nfl ready, and lebeau friendly cb in the draft...... drafting allen, williams, or davis would be a bad mistake imo. And I think JAX takes Adams.

And personally, I'd rather not us take the risk in wading around the CB needy sharks (7-13) and be backed into a corner drafting Wilson, Tabor, or Jones..... all three have serious flawa

It is definitely going to be an interesting offseason. I believe JRob is going to address the secondary early with the player he values the most. It may not e at 5. He may be able to slide back & still get the guy he values the most. It is just such a huge need that has not been properly addressed for years. I cannot see him not making it a priority this year.

Last year there were so many holes on both sides of the ball it was impossible to address them all. I feel like he addressed the biggest immediate need on offense last year; the Oline. The other larger offensive needs of the team were creating a run game; & getting more reliable WRs. IMO he hit a home run with Matthews. He got him on a relatively cheap contract; and he was our best WR this year. There is still an obvious need for more speed at WR IMO. A guy that teams must worry about on the perimeter.

Yesterday I brought up the fact that; if QB needy teams reach early (Doubtful, but happens a lot) for a guy, we could be in great position. We could possibly trade back a few spots & still land Adams, Hooker, or Lattimore with our 1st pick. Then at pick 18 have a LONG SHOT at Foster. I believe we could still get a WR threat in the 2nd in that scenario. There is a big drop off after Davis & Williams in this draft; however, every year a later round pick seems to show out at WR. I could see Taylor, Kupp, Westbrook, Zay Jones, or Hansen being one of those guys. Then double down in the secondary with a guy like Fabian Moreau at CB in the 3rd.....There may be better options in the 3rd. Who knows. I just LOVE the idea of getting one of the top tier DBs & the top ILB with our 2 picks in the 1st & possibly picking up a 2nd round pick.........

We still have FA to see how much our biggest needs change. However, it is going to be interesting to see how it all plays out.

At pick #5 we have about 3 options to improve the secondary that would be worthy of the 5th pick-Adams, Lattimore, and Hooker. We cant really mess this up.
