Yes. Stafford played a good role for us. But we also rotated all these safeties to FS and also down in the box. All over the place.

BDL doesnt like labeling his safetys, he wants QB's guessing as much as possible

The real question here is should the stadium guys play safety dance by men without hats after every sack byard makes?

 

Would like to keep Stafford as he's good on ST, a good 3rd safety and depth.

With the way the cap is going up though, some of you really need to adjust your numbers on what guys should/are getting paid. Jefferson will probably make in the $8-9m/yr category. Berry getting signed helps him in two ways: it drives up the price of good safeties, and it makes him the top S available.

Searcy is not terrible for what he's being paid, especially if we draft a Safety instead of going after Jefferson - who's the only FA safety I like.

With Berry being off the market though, I'm leaning more and more towards going hard for corners in FA and picking up a safety in the draft, but not necessarily even in the first. A good SS could be found in the 2-4 round area. Maybe not game changer quality, but good. I mean we found Byard in the 3rd and I think we all agree he did well in his first year.
