That's all that matters. If it works and they're both starters 6+ years then it's good picks. Everyone starts with a clean slate when you enter the league.

Might be that 9th percentile athletic profile he put out at the combine.

Agreed, from where I sit today the 1st round could have been better. We will see, at least they are both positions of need.

Why because the Titans literally drafted 2 guys that wouldn't have went for 10 picks after? You telling me lattimore and OJ Howard wouldn't have been better? Now it may work out and I hope so but they could have done much better.

The thing we don't know is if we even had any worthwhile offers on the table at #5. After the Bears screwed our deal with CLE up, I'm not sure who would have paid to come up that high. CLE clearly wasn't going to, they traded back from 12!

There's just so much unknown that I can't really fault the team for taking guys they coveted. It's easy to say we reached, but we don't get to take guys wherever we want. It's also easy to say now that we could have taken Latt and OJ (I know I said that myself last night), but I doubt that he would have been expected to be there at #18.

I'm just gonna be happy we filled our biggest holes with very good players who don't have off-field issues and not too many injury concerns.

After watching Cle trade out of 12 with Watson sitting there, I wonder if they were ever going to take QB. No way we can take the word of all the "pro analysts" being that they were farther off than a few Titans fans on their mocks.

Says who? Mel Kiper? This whole idea of "reach" is predicated on the opinions of people who don't work for NFL teams. Mock drafts are never reliable, yet so many people base their opinion of a draft on them. It's insane.

CLE was very obviously undecided on Trubisky. They were never drafting anybody else.

Who cares? Either someone from the first round is a solid player, or isn't. Nobody ever said after a player busts or makes the pro bowl: "He was taken 10 picks too early!" You're either glad they drafted the guy, or mad about it.
