Dude ran a 4.34 in the rain, claims he's run a sub 4.2 laser timed 40 before, that's why we took him. The reward for if he can figure out how to run the ball or if he can turn into a WR is huge, just has a very low probability of doing that.

 

Really wanted Tarik Cohen as our change of pace speedster but Chicago reached for him. This guy certainly looks like the next best thing. Lightning to go with our thunder and thunder. Getting this guy the ball in the open field could be fun to watch

 

Certainly has that JROB production.

12/16/16 - 2016 ALL-PAC-12 CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): RB Khalfani Muhammad, Sr.,...Muhammad finished the regular-season with 1,543 all-purpose yards including 827 on the ground on 152 carries, both team and career highs, while scoring on a pair of runs. He added 132 yards receiving on a career-high-tying 17 receptions and another 584 yards on 24 kick returns for a career-high 24.3 yard average. Muhammad eclipsed the 200-yard all-purpose mark twice with a season-high 218 against Oregon and 214 vs. UCLA. He was also over 100 yards rushing on three occasions with a career-high 165 at Oregon State and 148 vs. Oregon in back-to-back games before finishing the regular season with 116 on a career-high 29 carries against UCLA. Muhammad has 4,575 career all-purpose yards to rank third all-time at Cal while his 87 kick returns and 1,931 kick return yards are both second. - Cal Footbal

 

This guy is a better fit as the #3 RB than we had last year. He brings something different from Murray/Henry at least.
