A on paper but graded it a B.

I'll never grade a draft an A until they put out on the field but I loved the selections.

Davis - I like the pick, my fav WR in the draft, just was hoping it was with a trade down to 12. But you need a partner to trade with and I think Bears took that opp away. Looking forward to seeing him and Mariota grow together.

Jackson - I like this pick as well, again hoping it was in 2 but he may not have been there so they went for the player they wanted. Read alot about his size but same size as Samari Rolle, Pacman, he brings the attitude of Samari and return skills of Jones. A no headache kid, what's not to like about that? He's going to add excitement in Sunday's, just needs to get stronger at CB, I believe he will.

Taylor - he's a WR I was hoping we would get, Zay Jones was another one. Getting him in the 3rd was where I thought he'd go but trading up to get him cost us getting Eddie Jackson or Jourdan Lewis, I think we could have stayed where we were and got him but the staff must have liked him and did what they thought to get him.

Not having a 4th sucked like not having a 2nd (but a least we had 18)

Smith - I really like as well but again I think we could have got him later. TEs went in the next round, but same thing as Taylor, the staff must have liked him alot to make the move.

The rest I don't know enough about but filled some needs so we'll see.

To be fair, some of them are coachable things. Like don't go for the INT when you're off the wr and have no help unless you KNOW you can get there. And as much as this pick worries me from a growing pains point of view, he also did have 5 INT's too and had 4 retuns for TD's.

Hopefully with good coaching, a focus on purely playing cb, and his athleticism/work ethic, he'll be able to at least play nickel if not start on the outside!

Much like Ramsey had some growing pains early on and was very good down the stretch, we need to get that same level of improvement during the season and a good chunk from now until opening day!

For now, I think mentally you figure he's our starting nickel and returner with Sims and Logan on the outside. Either Sims loses the outside job or Jackson beats him out, but you have to figure at the moment, these are our top 3 cb's.

Did you mean Jayron Brown? Only Smith we drafted is Jonnu the TE.

The first 3 rounds (or 2 of them) were a success. I listed Taylor and Smith in the Potential Draft Steals thread before the draft. Davis, Taylor, and Smith all went earlier than I had envisioned, but I think they all would be gone sooner rather than later.

Davis and Taylor are perfect compliments to Mariota's skillset. Great foot quickness for uncovering underneath and speed to be vertical threats.

Jonnu's upside is close to the elite TE picks in this draft, IMO. I'd love if he could come in year 1 and prove his worth as a guy who can be on the field at the same time as DW and handle blocking duties. Another guy who is surprisingly quick and explosive, as well as having very good speed.

I'm good with Adoree, if that's who he wanted. Many would prefer a more typical outside CB, but I think there is less of a "bust" factor with Adoree compared to someone like Conley, though he might not have the same ceiling as an outside corner. But his athleticism and attitude lead me to believe he'll make the transition to whatever player they envision him being. Bringing in someone who can score TDs when the offense isn't on the field is always a good addition.

The back end of the draft was fine. I think Brown will be an early contributor as a coverage LB in certain packages. The future of the guys after him is less clear, but I've seen and heard good things about all of them.

Samarai Rolle was 6' and lean at 175lbs. Pacman is 5'9 1/2 and 185lbs so Jackson is closer to Pacman size wise at 5'10 and 186lbs. Jackson is very different from Rolle.

But our hope is he gets to be as good (or better) than Jason Verrett. Of course, there are health concerns of how well a small framed cb stays healthy and even more so with Jackson if he's also gonna be our fulltime pr and kr.

Solid B but if any of these guys directly contribute to a playoff appearance this year, automatic A+. Improvement to 4-2 or better in the division, auto A.

I'd be willing to bet he doesn't end up the full time PR/KR
