    then thats what I want

Ive been trying to get into hockey for a few years and after 1-2 games in a series I give it up

good finals would probably do wonders for my interest in the sport

Personally, I wanted to take two personal days at work to make a trip to Nashville (from where I live to Pittsburgh is the same distance - and already have a trip planned in July, so that factored too) to a Stanley game ------ until I saw the prices.

"Nope, I'll just sit home, watch it on TV and save setting my bank acct. back 3 yrs lmao"

Another great thing to happen for the Preds is Ottawa and Pitt going to game 7. Much needed break.

The thing that helped me the most was learning/understanding the nuances to the sport. Just knowing most of the rules and some of the strategy went a long way to helping increase my interest.

For example, "Forecheck" is something a team does that would be comparable to the press in basketball. It means having extra players enter the other teams zone when they have the puck to put pressure on them. I never knew that until recently, but is a word they use a ton in hockey broadcasts and commentating.

Also, when a team ices the puck, the players they have on the ice can't come off in the break. The other team can, but they can't. That means not only is there a face off in their zone, but they're probably tired too. They have to get it out without icing to make a line change.

It's like how I just can't get into rugby because I have no idea what's going on and why they're doing what they do. I'd probably like it if I knew, but I just can't get into it. Also probably very similar to how people feel when they watch American football.

It is a much more fun atmosphere, but the Titans are on the right trajectory to have a great atmosphere again.

I'll always be a Preds fan... I really got hooked back in 2010-2011 when we won our first playoff series against Anaheim. I was at two of those games and got to see us close them out.

I have a jersey signed by most of the team way back from like 99 or 00 that says Nashville Arena on it... it has been pretty good luck at the games I've worn it to.

But I really have a hard time investing in hockey until football ends. There are just too many games... gets more fun down the stretch when we're fighting for the playoffs or in it.
