Here you go again comparing apples to oranges. Tajae Sharpe is not a legend first of all. He has 1 year worth of production. It's telling that after 1 year of seeing Sharpe and what he provides on the football field we went out to draft a WR at 5, trade up for a slot WR in the 3rd round, and sign Eric Decker. That doesn't sound like a team confident in Sharpe's role as a starter.

    Sheesh dude...

This team has a very poor receiving corps.

Drafting WRs isn't reflective of Sharpe as much as it is the group in general.

But you have some weird target on the guy- so yeah- knock the rookie that overachieved by any realistic fan's standards. Makes total sense!

And the Decker move is likely due to Sharpe's injury. See how that works?

We made a move after knowing he's injured. THAT makes sense in the realm of a move to replace.

Again...He is now #4 with the addition of Decker lol. He had a good rookie year, but he is replaceable and nothing more than a plug and play kind of guy. If drafting 2 guys early and grabbing Decker doesn't convince you, then I'm not sure what will. Hell, even Tajae himself got into a fight over knowing he is getting bumped...

I don't have a target on the guy but it's hard to ignore the fact that he led that entire pathetic receiving corps in snaps by a wide margin
    Sharpe-786
    Mathews-781
    Wright-309
    Douglas-237
    Johnson-217
    Mariani-24
    McBride-3

Mathews nearly doubled Sharpe's production and he didn't start to see more snaps until Midway through the season. So yea when somebody mentions how pathetic our passing attack was overall last year fair or not I'm looking straight at Sharpe. He needs to be humble and understand he can't handle that amount of snaps.

The Nashville Tennessean's Jason Wolf speculates Tajae Sharpe (foot surgery) may have a "tenuous grasp on a roster spot" entering training camp.

Recovering from surgery on his right foot, Sharpe is expected to be ready for camp, but coach Mike Mularkey said he could have a "hard time" if he is not able to stay in shape. "Obviously he’s not going to run right now, but he’s got to do something to stay in shape," Mularkey said. "You’ve got to be ready to go. No matter what your injury is, there’s something you can do, cardio-wise, to train." After earning a starting job last year, Mularkey's comments suggest Sharpe could be competing for a job this time around. Even if he sticks on the roster, Sharpe is not going to be fantasy relevant behind Eric Decker, Corey Davis, and Rishard Matthews.

    Per Rotoworld.
