Pick #155 of the 2017 NFL Draft: LB Jayon Brown, UCLA

I don't know if bad weight is the term. He could add muscle I'm sure but at what point does it hinder his game. It's like Walker from Northwestern he added too much weight and it negatively effected his game.

 

He was measured at 5'11 1/2" 231 at the combine. Maybe that was what Cossell and GMs not named Jon noticed? Anyway, One fast dude with impressive stats in pass D for a LB. And a solid active tackler. Gotta like his numbers from his pro day, and his season stats. And he sounds like a smart, coachable guy who loves football. Not the first LB drafted out of UCLA, either; regular factory...

 

Just gotta give Brown a big shout out. Definitely player of the game Saturday night for us. Was all over the place, making plays and a tackling machine.

I didn't watch the game, but I'm pretty damn impressed with these highlights. His coverage instincts are top notch, and he gets people down. They may have something here with Brown.

 

He and Kalen Reed were the stars of the show. I'm going to be watching both of them with great interest the rest of the preseason.

 

He has what you want to see at that position. He has some pretty good instincts but more importantly he has speed. He makes up quite a bit of ground in a short time as seen in those highlights.

 

It would be great to hit on a late pick like this at a position of need. Glad he's making good on the playing time, hope he at least makes the 53 so he can continue to develop.

 

He's like what we always wanted Zach Brown to be.

 

He's pretty much guaranteed to make the 53.
