For Mariota, type his name in the search block.

Use Pro-football reference for all your stat needs. It's easily the absolute best and there is no website that compares. Strictly numbers website, no insight added for anything.

Titans under Mariota were never a top 15 team in passing attempt. Luck in his first 3 years was a top 2, top, 5 , top 12

Despite Lucks superior air-attack, he was never good enough to open up the ground attack.

That's fine. That's rankings amongst other teams and your website is team passing attempts.

I gave you Luck's passing attempts per game and Mariota' attempts per game which is what you were comparing.

    It's 37.8 to 31.5 Luck to Mariota.

You ball parked at 40 for Luck to 25 for Mariota which is about twice as far off as reality.

When using your site, it doesn't give great numbers and doesn't take into account different QB in the game. I would think our pass:run ratio is different with Cassel or mettenberger or locker.

Thats with MM starting 15 games in 2016 as a starting QB. A better understanding is how much the team passed the ball. I dont know how your site combines for Mariota throwing more than 30 times on a run first offense.

Titans threw the ball in the air for a total of about 536 times last year. Do the math. Luck is around the 36-40 times per game.

My site is a more accurate site in passing attemps wich the Colts blow the Titans out the ball park.

Yeah beacause guys like Trent Richardson were good enough to open the running game.

So this gets tricky to read but if you look under ATT, that's how many throws he's made.
When you look under G, that's how many games he played.

When you divide ATT by G, you get the number of attempts per game that Mariota has made (not the Titans, since that's not the point you were making when I posted).

For bonus, I did not use the game against NE in 2014 because he got hurt so early, but he went 3/6 in that game.

I used Andrew Luck's name for his stats but did the exact same math.

i didn't catch the "last year" part which wasn't in your original post but is in this one.

For those numbers, you would still us ATT/G but follow the specific row that says "2016"

    451/15 = 30.6 (Mariota)
    545/15 = 36.3 (Luck)

Your number so are still off.

In 2016 Titans were ranked 28th. They threw the ball in the air 504 times. (wich I was wrong for saying 536)

In 2016 - Colts threw the ball in the air for 584 thats with an unhealthy Luck.
