not have a 78.7 QB rating so far this year ( it looks like he has taken a step backwards ) Less 3 in outs and move the offense down the field . Win more games.

2015 NE patriots, top RB Jonas gray w/ 412, Shane Vereen w/ 391 yards and Ridley with 340 (18th rush offense)
    2011 giants- Bradshaw 659, Jacobs 571 (32nd rush offense)
    2003 patriots - Antwan smith 642, Kevin Faulk 638. (13th rushing offense)
    1996 GB - Edgar Bennett 899, Dorsey levens 566 (11th rush offense)

These are all SB winners. Haven't checked losers or other playoff winners but you don't NEED an established run game to win. It certainly helps though.

You dont need a running game, unless you have two pretty goood recievers. Giants had Manningham, Nicks, Cruz

    Cruz - 1,536 yards w/ 9 TDs
    Nicks - 1,193 yards w/7 TDs.
    Manningham - 523 yards w/4 TDs

Plus Ballard had around 600 plus yards that year as well. Bradshaw went on and rushed for 1,000 the very next season. That offense was explosive and very verticle on both the heavy pass and run.

Nice list though, besides Brady that has done so less with recievers, theres not alot of offensive teams that will find success without running the ball.

Youre already comparing his 2017 stats in such a short sample size? Its still week 3 dude lol. Also, I am pretty sure McNair wouldnt have that much success offensivly with the recieving corp Mariota had last year. Tennessee was ranked #4th in 2016 for third down coversation percentage.

ballard? Vick Ballard? He was a colt and his rookie year was 2012. No other RB on the giants in 2011 had 600 yards.

Bradshaw did get 1015 the next year but the team was still 14th in rush offense. Very nice jump for them.

Really wish ppl would go back and review film before posting their initial reactions. Unless you have photographic memory you wont be able to precisely determine why a play failed or why it was successful. Stop posting passer ratings and completion percentages through 2 weeks worth of football. We just finished playing arguably the best DB tandem in the league. Ive rewatched the jags game atleast 3 times. Mariota made one bad decision all game which was the int. Other than that most plays if not all of them fell apart because of Spain/Conklin inconsistencies holding their blocks, Murray who looked very limited wasnt himself in pass protection, Decker having a hard time winning on isolation routes specifically on fade routes, and Davis clearly still grasping the playbook. There is still bad play design like for instance running a 3 TE set with one of them running a route.

Im not saying Mariota has been perfect. He has been inconsistent with his deep throws but nothing to be alarmed about. I think he looks great. He appears in control of the offense, throwing with great anticipation which greatly increases the chances of these wild misses we have seen a couple times which is due to a receiver not being where he should be. I hardly ever see him staring down his first read. He is still manipulating defenders with his eyes. I think the biggest improvement that ive seen so far is his composure in the pocket and sensing pressure. Mariota from a year or 2 ago would have been sacked like 6 or 7 times against the defensive lines we just faced. He is much more deliberate in taking off when the pocket collapses. I have yet to see him force a throw on the run.
