I think we all know that Kerry Collins was 10 times the qb vince was. . And he could cast 50 yards off a moving boat too.

One is in the Hall of Fame.

    One will never make it.

Moon was better. End of story.

What are we measuring it on?

I know McNair got Co-MVP and brought us to the Superbowl. Something Moon never did.

Your choice. If that co-MVP year or the team that went to the SB are enough for you to select McNair as the better QB, then feel free to do so.

There is almost no stat that can be used that would "prove" McNair better outside of the Co-MVP year. Even that wasn't a statistical monster year, he showed the one thing that can't be measured like leadership or heart.
I won't pretend that moon had neither considering he was basically forced into the CFL for 4 years due to nothing more than being a black QB.
Mcnair's stats for the Titans SB year prove he was at least somewhat carried by George and the defense.

Don't forget about the 2 AFC championship games . As far as leadership and heart (2 very important traits for a QB) McNair wins this easy but i know every wants to count his stats and passing yards but as far winning McNair is clearly Your pick as well because he has the most wins in Oilers/Titans history

Says you. Not sure how you can be so dismissive about moon's leadaership and heart when that is unquantifiable. I'm going to assume you aren't quite old enough to have watched Moon and the oilers.

    W/L record is pretty close.
    Moon 70-69
    McNair 76-55

I'll raise with Moon's competition and lack of defense.

most if y'all probably never watched moon in his heyday, but he is clearly a top 10 qb of all time, and still the best pure passing pocket passer as a black qb, then anyone before or sense.
He was as good as Peyton manning.

remember that he had to start in the cfl.

I was just looking back at moon's Career stats and I was surprised by couple of things. I already new he had a 3-7 record in the post season but his first 3 yrs he threw 40 touchdowns to 59 interceptions then most of his career with the oilers he was in the high teens to low 20's in touchdown passes and same with interceptions he had a couple of great season as our QB but to put him ahead of Steve McNair is crazy . He had a couple of good season with Minnesota as well but that's not this is about who's the best QB for this franchise ????
