it all points to us waiving him on the offseason next year. He has bought a house in Franklin, any chance he takes alot less and maybe we can rework his contract?

Pretty sure his contract is setup to dump him after his second year. All depends how Henry performs as the season goes on. I personally would grab a change of pace back in the draft and let Murray go.

I'd say no unless he shakes off the injuries and turns this season around into a lot better production. Aside from Henry's success, Murray has looked old and unhealthy.

I wish we could've traded him this off season. Or packaged him a deal.

I think he will be cut next off season.

Despite his production last year, I think his age would have kept his trade value fairly low. Without knowing he was going to play hurt this year, I doubt we would have got an offer that most here would have said yes to.

He is scheduled to make 6M next year. Thats basically starting RB money. I dont see how they keep him unless he agrees to take a huge paycut.

Yeah no one would trade for him straight up. But a package would have been more ideal.

For example I would have given the Seahawks the #18; Murray for Sherman. But then I got crucified.

Only if it's at a fair price and he is not guaranteed the majority of the carries

I don't think that would have been a good trade. Not only was there not a lot of reason to think Murray would be more effective than he's been, we would have lost #18 for a couple years of ineffective and expensive Sherman. Not that Sherman is bad, but you can see how even the best CB can struggle in this defense.

Jackson is young enough that he will be able to get better while the rest of the D can be addressed rather than continue looking for Sherman replacement as well.
