Mularkey is here because of another sham coaching search. AAS in response to angry fans when his hire as permanent HC was announced “sometimes people are just mad because they don’t get to do the hiring”.

I agree firing Robiskie won’t change much. Has to be Mularkey. But AAS wasn’t going to pay 3 HC contracts simultaneously in her mind so she went to the cheap Adams way of hiring familiarity over accountability.

Kinda curt in that presser. Understand that he is pissed about his performance.

I’m in awe with the Mariota dissenters in here and how you are coming to his aid after arguably his worst game of his career. I would have def thought you would have been off with his head after that performance. It’s almost as if you are doh coming for his rescue. But you are showing some class and compassion for the dude. That’s good stuff

Not willing to give up on him until he has a year or 2 under a new OC (prefer a new coach).

I agree. We need an entire new offensive coaching staff also. QB, WR, maybe even new OL coach if we could get some up and comers. I don’t know who but AAS thought this staff t of “The Expendables” could put together a championship caliber team.

So you must see something then. That’s good. Some of these responses by some of theses posters though you wouldn’t have begin to believe they saw something in him before. But here they are subtly jumping to his defense.

First, I want to apologise to you, for rating your posts trolls. I have since deleted them, as I was totally in the wrong. I did.not mean to upset anyone, I only joined to have some people who like the Titans to talk about.

If you want to label me as a troll, that is your choice. If you want to read why I joined, please read my post in the newbie forum.

And yes, I like Mariota. I have been following him since his first game in college. And, right now, I am so embarrassed and sad to see how bad he is doing. I even took my avatar down, it hurt so bad.

Look, I came here to meet new people, maybe make some friends, and talk football. I'm just going to sit back, keep my thoughts, opinions to myself, and refrain from using ratings. I see they cause trouble.

    Again, I apologise.

    Have a good day...

And what part of the scheme is to blame for Mariota horribly overthrowing wide open receivers?

No QB is 100% accurate with EVERY throw. MM8 does get happy feet especially when the pocket is collapsing. But he is RARELY sacked for holding the ball too long- he gets the ball out.

I am neither an apologist nor a fanboy but I've seen enough out of MM8 to know he is a very good QB and one that could easily be a franchise QB in the right system.

We rarely get wide open WR's in this scheme and when we do we've seen our most productive receivers drop passes for sure TD's and the throw was on the money. This bunch set exotic smashmouth chit with multiple pre-snap shifts is just too easy to defend. Especially against the pass.

It simply is not accurate to put the problem on Mariota. Our run game has even gone stale in this system. Our yards mostly come on one or two big runs. And that is NOT the way to be consistently productive.
