Pre-Game Thread Game 14: Titans @ 49ers

damn this fanbase is sure up and down lol
last week everyone was behind the team, now one loss and everyone jumps ship

 

Everyone is forgetting the week long male bonding desert field trip/slumber party. Titans roll this week 37-10

 

Last weeks game was a total head scratcher, I live close to mexico ,so I was watching the game at a "caliente" (bar where you can place bets on games). Everyone was constantly asking me why, why did they (Titans) stop using that big f**king guy (D. Henry). Even these guys see that a coaching change is needed.

 

agreed that we need to switch to henry, but i think we should keep mularkey and fire robiskie

while everyone loves to burn it to the ground after a loss... we are still 8-5 and are in a prime spot to make playoffs. division seems less likely now that we need a Jags loss though

 

I can accept that

 

We break the bank with two tackles to protect Mary, but when one goes down we have nothing but Kelly. We go from a racing tire to a snow tire. This contributed to our loss more than anything last week. Incredible we let ourselves get in this kind of predicament.

 

This team has kinda lost me after last week. Still hoping for a W, but I can really see the 9ers taking this one. Newer QB, coming off a win, players wanting to feel good with some W's to end the season as something to build on.

VS

A stubborn old coaching staff resting on the 8-5 laurels that they got from beating up on bottom of the barrel, injury riddled teams. Unless the run game heats up, it'll be tough to win this one.

Then you look ahead, LA is a really tough matchup, good defense and an offense that can move the ball. Then the last week vs a team we beat, who will want redemption, and has been playing better. Also have the history of keeping the Titans from the playoffs last year.

I think 9-7 is the ceiling with what's left. That very well may still get them a WC spot. But honestly, 8-8 is very possible.

 

9-1 in the last 10 home games and the last 2 games are at home... you dont think we can get 1 of them? just curious

 

They're playing teams with good defenses and still have their starting QB. With the way the offense has played, I'm not confident in them putting up more than 17 points against either defense. As improved as our defense has been, I can't see them holding either offense under that.

Do you think this team, the way they've been calling games and executing, really has a shot against either of these teams? Honest question.

 

yes I do, we've been in every game except the houston one and we were kind of blindsided with watson there. also, we seem to actually play better at home again. I think it would be silly to immediately count us out of back to back home games
