Well I figured I’d change things up a bit and talk defense. 99% of this forum wants Robiskie and Murlarkey fired but if anyone is going next year it’s Robiskie. With that being said if Murlarkey stays, do we keep or want Lebeau around next season?Considering the defense has been playing well and carrying this team, would another off season of FA and draft make this defense even better with him? Or is it time to part ways?

    Defense has improved a lot.

23 sacks in the last 4 games, next closest is 14 I think.

If he wants to stay, no reason not too.

As long as Mularkey is here and DLB has a pulse he will have a spot on the coaching staff.

Im not against keeping him at all, but i think he retires. This current staff is going nowhere and he's been around long enough to know it. But, he might be like my gpa and just wants to work until he dies.

On a side note i think this team is one good lb away from switching to a 43 and i think thats a better fit here.

should be running a hybrid D that switches week to week between 43 & 34 whatever is needed. Like the Evil Empire does. Well used to I have not kept up

Hopefully that’s up to the new coach.

If Mularkey stays, he’ll want lebeau to stay. He’s no threat to the top job.

I think he hangs his hat up and retires. If not, he'll be with the Titans. Pretty sure this is his last stop.

The defense has far exceeded expectations. Even in the few blow out games, they give the offense 204 chances and the offense refuses to do anything with the football.

Let's be honest. Lebeau could kick the bucket in the off season, and a psychic channeling his play calls through an Ouija board would be more effective than whoever Mularkey gets.

Keep in mind, Mularkey is an offensive mind (couldn't type that without chuckling), and he brought in the schematic guru Terry Robiskie for the offense. Can you ****ing imagine who he would bring in on defense?
