SUMMARY: Titans Coach Jeff Fisher told the media this afternoon that Pacman Jones' future should be a concern to the second-year corner who was suspended for the Jaguars game based on recent off-the-field incidents. "He (Pacman) was very, very concerned about his immediate future," said Fisher. "I think he has legitimate reason to be concerned about his long-term future here." Fisher went on to stress how frustrated and embarrassed he is with Jones. "Again, I’m embarrassed for the organization. I’m embarrassed for the fans because of his choices," said Fisher. "As you all know, I can’t go home with him every night. He’s got to make the right decisions. Hopefully, he’ll get on the right track and we won’t have any more incidents. However, if there is another incident, it will be awfully telling."

It sounds more serious. That's a pretty bold statement. I hope Jones makes a good statement this week, and we hear nothing more from him off the field. He needs to get his act together.

I think everyone should read the entire article. There are considerations beyond the Titans and their cap. The NFLPA would get involved in a big way.

And rightfully so. You can't punish a player for an allegation. That is why Fish said "The court system has to run its course as far as the incident last week. What we’re disappointed is the action as a result of an accumulation of things that have happened."

My take is he is telling Pac to quit allowing himself to be the target of so much attention/allegations. I'm assuming it is because it is a distraction. I also think he is telling Pac that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Titans are in a difficult situation trying to adjust Pac's off the field behavior. They can't punish legally for an allegation and their is definitely financial damages for Pac if they try to illegally or inappropriately impose fines or dismissal.

Hopefully, the money lost by being inactive and what he may lose from the clauses in his contract if he his convicted will be sufficient for him to keep his nose clean from here on out.

I am crazy about Pac- how he plays on the field and his fiery F-you attitude to his critics. I would REALLY be disappointed if he gets booted. Taking on Fisher and the Titans, however, is not a battle Pac should fight. Fly right Pac, and live to play another day.

You speak the truth! People don't realize that Fisher can only do so much. There is no way anyone in this sport will ever be suspended all year for this sort of infraction. Just not going to happen. Players Association will not let it happen.

If Haynesworth didn't get suspended all year for that assault, and Ray Lewis can be SB MVP and NFL posterboy after being an accessory to murder, then their are limitations to Pacman's punishment.

On top of that, it would be ridiculous to cut ties with him at this point. They have far too much invested, he is playing well, the team is not being destroyed (a la TO). They need to discipline him appropriately. More severly for future events and then maybe get rid of him. Just not yet.

Bongo, I apparently am not explaining myself well enough for you understand the difference.

For the third time, no media source has verified your claim that Pacman was asked to come to BSP for a meeting. This is the title of the thread you started and the reason it was moved.

Fisher is punishing for the fact he missed practice because he was at a bar at 1:00 AM. If there is more to it and he did spit on the girl, I am sure the NFLPA will get involved.
