People make cut throat moves all over the world, people stomp on other people all over the world and people spit all over the world, but wrestling is limited to the USA, so obviously the rest of the world must have a different source of "inspiration", so why wouldn't the NFL players?

Nah, you just give too much credit to WWE and wrestling, and gave an explanation that is more a reach than anything else.

I refer you back to my post regarding the low moral standing of the NFL and most of its clubs. It seems like there is very little you can do wrong if you have some sporting ability ... apart from Carruth.

The Titans need to keep him. He may act like a thug but he's a damn good football player and frankly I'm more concerned with winning than wether or not Pac spits in some lady's face or gets in a fight.. Obviously, he's walking on thin ice here and it's a shame because he could wind up waisting a really good thing. As a selfish fan, I would rather see him play this week too. I would rather them just fine is ars heavily than suspend him. It's not like he beat someone up or tried to kill a person. I'm not making excuses for him, I just don't see us winning this weekend without him. Hopefully, he can pull his head out from his butt and learn to cope in life without getting in constant trouble.

*sigh* How on earth are we meant to make society better and educate people in proper behaviour if people like Jones are merely given a slap on the wrist?

He won't manage that until people stop coddling him.

It's not our job to "educate people in proper behaviour", only the courts have the power to punish people for conduct detrimental to society.

Of course it is our job. If you see a kid throwing stones trying to break a window do you just walk past saying "oh, it's nothing to do with me" or do you say "OI stop that you little oik!"

I am so sick to the back teeth of the "politically correct" bull**** which permeated out from the US and polluted the common sense of the rest of the world. No wonder we're going to hell in a handbasket! I truly hanker back for the days when if a policeman or an adult caught you doing something wrong you got a literal kick up the arse from them and then got into trouble from your parents when you got home. My parents and grandparents would have been mortified if I'd been dragged home by a policeman or behaved in the way of youngsters today.

Maybe if someone had done that with Jones, Owens, Haynesworth, Phillips and the rest they would be the pathetic human beings they have turned out to be.

And if the parents can't or won't do it? What then?
